Ravens’ Hayden Hurst ‘good to go’ for training camp
Hayden Hurst’s rookie season never got off the ground after a Jones fracture in his foot sidelined him four games to begin the season.
The Baltimore Ravens first-round tight end compiled only 13 receptions for 163 yards and one touchdown since the foot injury put him back and nagged the whole campaign.
If the Ravens held Hurst from some OTAs due to a hamstring tweak, offseason questions about durability persisted this spring.

After rejecting the notion he might be questionable heading toward coaching camp,” Hurst told 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore on Wednesday that he’s”good to go” once camp begins on July 24.
“Kind of felt it all last year, was not actually at 100 percent,” Hurst said. “Clearly, you sort of have the aches and pains of a twist being in your own foot. But I am good to go now, all healthy, don’t believe it and feel 100 percent”
The 25-year-old second-year player said he gained 15 pounds of muscle that this offseason, expecting to play at the 260-pound range rather than the 247 he had been last year when he felt like he had been”getting pushed around a little bit.”
Hurst said he believes the weight raise his production on the field but also will not help him remain healthier.
“I simply feel powerful. When I’m in and out of cuts and men are on me at the very top of my paths, I am able to get breakup better,” he told 105.7 The Fan. “Obviously I’m able to maintain the point of attack better blocking and stuff, so that’s going to be fun. I’m just excited. It is going to be a really good year.”
