Sizing John set for hurdles run says Harrington
Jessica Harrington will consider a comeback run over hurdles because of her Cheltenham Gold Cup hero Sizing John.
The nine-year-old finished the riband in Cheltenham the rare treble of the Gold Cup at Leopardstown and the Punchestown Gold Cup at the first half of 2017.
Though he created a flying start to the following campaign in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase, he frustrated over the Christmas period at Leopardstown and injuries have kept him off the track ever since.
While unsurprisingly cautious of preparation Harrington reports Sizing John in rude health at the moment.
Sizing John is great. He is hacking away and I thought he had tightened up a great bit, said that the Moone handler.
We have not made any programs, but we could do something like that (run over challenges ) as he has been off the trail for nearly two years.
He looks well and and is proceeding good
Harringtons other Hunt star is your Supasundae.
When defending his crown before glancing off his effort with a runner-up finish behind Buveur DAir the gelding claimed his victory in last seasons Aintree Hurdle at Grade One degree.
Supasundae is grand and performing his usual thing it always takes a very long time to get him ready, Harrington added.
He could go to the Hattons Grace at Fairyhouse in early December, or we may even wait till Christmas.
We all know he is a fantastic spring horse
