White Sox vs. Mariners MLB Pick – September 15th
The Chicago White Sox were edged from by the Seattle Mariners by Felix Hernandez Supporting a dominant performance.
Felix allowed just 1 earned run in seven innings, as he pitched just like King Felix and flipped back the clocks. His contract expires so it is one that he can feel great about if that’s one of the final begins because of Mariner. He sign elsewhere, can retire after this year, or reup using the Mariners.
Felix hinted at retirement back in July, but we’ll see where it belongs. He will have time in the offseason to decide what he is going to perform. However, Hernandez will have to accept that he wouldn’t be getting paid. It’d be light in comparison so it is going to get to be for your love of this game. He’s already racked in millions and does not need the dollars.
It would be challenging to see Hernandez go out with a opportunity to compete for a World Series. Enrolling with a competition to play football in October would be wise. Success won’t be seen in Seattle next year. The win yesterday was their 61st on the season to go into Sunday. The Mariners were handcuffed with just two runs. That was sufficient, though, and has been also a score that is fitting for Hernandez who has saved the crime a lot throughout his career.
The Mariners will look to the future in 2020 and lean on men including Justus Sheffield. Sheffield was involved in the transaction for James Paxton at 2018. He is a prospect who’s predicted to contribute for the Mariners in the future. The Mariners hope that includes 2020 at which he’ll enter his rookie season that is authentic as a full timer in the significant leagues. Sheffield gets the nod against Ivan Nova of the White. The White Sox haven’t had a successful year, but Lucas Giolito and Yoan Moncada has been a step ahead. That’s an arm and a bat that the White Sox should be able to put a foundation that is good down with. They are going to need far more than that, and I can say that Ivan Nova is not in their long-term aims. The veteran started off well this season, but has regressed. Fatigue has emerged to be a problem for him recently, as he has posted an ERA of both 8.36 along with 2.07 WHIP in his previous three outings.
The road hasn’t been too kind to Nova, possibly. Nova enters Seattle using an ERA of 4.92 along with 1.62 WHIP in 97 innings. That comprises a .378 OBA. Whereas at home, Nova has a 1.18 WHIP and .296 OBA, so his control was an issue while visiting venues on the road. The Mariners maintain a .375 OBP . I really don’t have the faith in Nova to unexpectedly find his stroke. He has more than checked out in 2019 and is ready for the break.
Justus Sheffield has produced only four starts and a look out of the bullpen with the Mariners. He trotted out of the bullpen three days with the Yankees last time and got hammered for a 10.12 ERA. It didn’t take long for the Yankees to give him up and flip his solutions.
Up to now with all the Mariners, Sheffield was up and down. He has pitched well with only 1-run enabled in 11 innings, but he’d return 12 hits and 5 walks, having to escape some jams to give a run up. Sheffield has also fought in Seattle, where he’s got a 5.71 ERA, 1.85 WHIP, and .405 OBA in 17.1 innings pitched. I believe that the total ought to be a tad higher at 9.5 here, so the OVER at 9 carries some value with it on Sunday afternoon in Seattle.
