Is netball helping itself when it comes to momentum?
As returns following a World Cup, Tamsin Greenway assesses what has occurred in Liverpool in the sport since a 10 times.
Weve pitched that phrase momentum around a lot, everyone talked about everyone and it wanted it.
Sadly, we didnt get that gold medal so there was no significant media momentum which we saw at the Commonwealth Games. Yes it had been a competition that is powerful, however, about being World Cup champions relying was a speculative strategy.
Id love to have seen real impact, and getting a bronze was fantastic although I believe as English lovers we had such an awesome experience.
Fast5, As an example does it clash with the England internationals?
We are aware that there are whisperings that we are likely to have some large abroad signings, which is fantastic, but what a pity that we have a competition that is loved by people – which stands out, that is a fantastic product – we can not display all our finest English gift on also.
I think that is something that England Netball should address, because we talk about momentum, but are we helping ourselves?
The huge names from abroad show how good the product it is how amazing would it have been if we could have had some of these brand new England superstars which were declared within this programme on screen too.
I think that is such a shame that we can not get dates to do the job. Last year they went to Jamaica and theyre in Australia on a training tour and I really dont see how we can not make this job this season.
Gamers want to play it as well. Its a pleasure contest and I think its extremely sad that people ensure it is impossible for them to do this.
I understand there were a couple of question marks when the England programme was declared. What happened to the likes of Jade Clarke, Rachel Dunn and Eboni Usoro-Brown? I understand theres a procedure of P1, P2 and P3 however that I dont think there is this comprehension of exactly what that means or the rules.
I guess that is where my frustrations come out. Our most capped England player , jade Clarke. What has happened to her? Has she hailed, has she not? I dont think that it ought to function for Jade say and to appear.
I feel like they are stories that are large. I want to understand. Jade and rachel are my buddies so that I speak to them however I need to understand from a professional point of view, I want these stories to be discussed and discussed.
What happened from last year from the programme to gamers such as Sasha [ Corbin ]? Kadeen? They are large Language titles, did they trial, did they not, therefore are they P3? I just think there has got to be a lot more open conversation.
Its not to understand all of the intricacies, it is just for greater transparency about the fundamentals, thus we are able to discuss it, discussions, begin debates, maintain momentum.
We end up having the conversations afterward. I know when I always place it out on Twitter individuals want to have these discussions, they want to chat about things and players moving ahead. I believe whats really occurring and that we simply arent teaching people.
I believe we need much more awareness about the principles, whats fresh and more awareness about the gamers and how they influence the season.
When it has to do with squad sizes this year, who youre able to earn from a world ranking perspective in addition to the duration of the transport window, each one of these are areas that need more clarity.
From never having worked both sides, writing to the Telegraph and spending a great deal of time working here with Sky Sports and a media standpoint , also its likely my biggest frustration. If we want to discuss the way the sport is currently moving forward we need to be open to changing how we talk about doing it.
