Nick Foles injury sees Jacksonville Jaguars acquire Josh Dobbs from Pittsburgh
The Jacksonville Jaguars have acquired quarterback Josh Dobbs at a trade with Pittsburgh, providing them a copy while Nick Foles recovers from a broken collarbone.
The Jaguars gave up their fifth-round pick from the 2020 draft. He was a choice in 2017.
Could back up rookie Gardner Minshew. Minshew completed 22 of 25 passes for 275 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception, in his NFL debut.
Minshew replaced Foles from the first quarter and completed 88 per cent of his passes, becoming the most accurate single-game passer in Jaguars history (minimum 25 attempts).
His completion percentage was the best for any participant with at least 15 pass efforts.
His clavicle struck on Jacksonville’s 10th offensive play of the season. On while casting a 35-yard TD pass to DJ 15, he landed and was struck.
Foles was put by the Jaguars on injured reserve. Foles will be eligible to return to clinic late October and will be eligible to play at Indianapolis in Week 11 if he is designated to return, which is exactly what the staff anticipates
