David de Gea: Manchester United goalkeeper signs contract extension
David de Gea has signed a new contract at Manchester United before 2023, which contains an option for a further year.
Considering moving to Old Trafford, the 28-year-old goalkeeper who joined United in Atletico Madrid at 2011, de Gea, has won the Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup and Europa League.
The price – which may see the Spain global earn involving #350,000 and 375,000 a week – makes De Gea the world goalkeeper, Sky Sports News understands.
“It’s been a chance to spend eight years in this terrific club and the chance to keep my career in Manchester United is a genuine honor,” explained De Gea.
“Ever since I arrived here, I could not have imagined I’d play over 350 games for this club. Now my future is fixed, all that I want is to help this team reach exactly what I think we could and win prizes again, jointly.
“I am committed to continue repaying the fans for all the attention that they’ve shown me during the good times and the poor.”
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer added:”I’m delighted that David has dedicated his long term future to the club. Over the last few decades, David has proven itself to be the finest in the world and a part of our plans as we look to shoot Manchester United into where it goes, back.
