Prix de l’Abbaye next target for Invincible Army

James Tate is currently a crack at the Qatar Prix P l’Abbaye at Longchamp month after the colt Campaign from the Flying Five Stakes at the Curragh, to Get Invincible Army.

The four-year-old stayed on strongly to take third position at the minimum trip behind Fairyland from the Group One dashboard.
Invincible Army has left his mark since completing Stakes at Glorious Goodwood as a juvenile.
However, Tate was buoyed by his effort on Sunday and gets got the Abbaye in his sights.
“He’s as fresh as paint and trotted up sound – so we have got lots of choices – but probably it’ll be the Abbaye, I’d have thought,” said Tate.
“He raced well. He was in a Group One in five, so on his very first try for a couple of years, therefore we could give it a second attempt”
Under The Stars may also visit Longchamp for its Qatar Prix Marcel Boussac, after leaving Tate”frustrated” once denied a smooth passage in the Moyglare Stud Stakes.
Her opportunity had gone by the time the girl of Night Of Thunder acquired a clean run, leaving her to complete fifth – beaten just two lengths by the winner, Love.
“She was frustrating because she got stuck in a pocket behind the winner and also the second, and so she never got out until the final furlong,” said her coach.
“She conducted a solid-enough racefinishing fifth, but that I thought maybe she would have picked up a little black kind had she got a clean streak.
“She had been drawn five of nine, and the speed wasn’t overly quickly,and she got a clean run at it”
Tate hence keeps hope that there is more to come.
He added:”She wasn’t beaten much, (and) I was content with her run, but I want to believe we might be a bit better than that.
“I could see the very likely race for being the Prix Marcel Boussac.
“There’s the Rockfel, weekend following at Newmarket, but if the weather remains dry that might be on the fast side for her so we could go to Longchamp rather than”
