Ireland captain Rory Best is underappreciated, says Rob Kearney

Rob Kearney believes captain Rory Finest is the”glue” that holds Ireland collectively however a farewell for him personally and head trainer Joe Schmidt is not crucial against Wales on Saturday.

Best, who also played his final match in May for Ulster, will get his 120th cap – making him the third-highest restricted player in the history of Ireland – behind Brian O’Driscoll and Ronan O’Gara.
“It is huge, is not it? And occasionally I think it gets a little helpless,” Kearney said on Greatest’s leadership before Ireland’s final World Cup warm-up game.
“Some of the momentous victories we have had as a team have been beneath Rory. He’s a leader, he is the glue that brings the team together a lot.
“Again, he is a guy who is training really well and I’m sure he’s very excited to get out there and also show that he’s still hugely effective at generating big performancesat his ripe old age”
Ireland returned to winning ways last weekend later they were comprehensively beaten by England 57-15 at Twickenham, edging out Wales 22-17 in Cardiff on Saturday.
Schmidt’s unwanted face Scotland in their very first World Cup group stage game September 22, prior to enjoying hosts Japan six months after.
