Ground wills break Wednesday when saddling his first two runners at Yarmouth in the EBF Stallions John Musker Fillies’ Stakes.
The Classic-winning rider-turned-trainer is going to be represented in the feature 10-furlong Listed decoration at the Norfolk trail by Cnoc An Oir and Snapraeceps.
It’ll be the second time this season the two stablemates have raced against each other last month following the group finished down the field at Gowran Park.
O’Brien said:”All these are my first runners at the track but it’s about trying to get some black type together and also this race fitted in. They can run nicely.
“They are equally well-bred fillies and therefore so are attaining a level where they need black kind today.
“They ran fine races out last time and this is not quite as competitive as the business they’ve been keeping.
“The trip is a little further for both of them but I think they should be fine over it as they’re just two simple fillies.”
Maid For Life has become a model of consistency all year and after finishing second behind the reopposing Gallic for her first start over the trip at Chelmsford time out trainer Charlie Fellowes is confident the daughter of Nathaniel can turn the tables and also be in the shake up.
Fellowes said:”She ought to have likely won as she was facing just before the line after it just online her head was up.
“She was carrying a great deal of weight daily and we’ve got a gigantic swing at the weights with the one that beat her.
“I needed her to a course she likes to determine if she stays the excursion and she settled and did everything well and that I had this race in my mind later.
“She has a little to find with Fanny Logan but we are taking a look at black type and on ratings she has a good opportunity to acquire some.”
Connections of time outside Chelmsford scorer Inference, one of two runners at the race to get John Gosden alongside Fanny Logan, hope she could build on that success by taking a step up.
Chris Richardson, racing manager to owners Cheveley Park Stud, said:”She’s a filly that does not do much at home.
“it’s a chance to see where we reside level-wise together with her and she deserves to take her chance.
“They have had a bit of rain but hopefully it has not been too much as she likes top of the floor ”
George Scott is looking forward to providing the opportunity to check her ability in a greater level after submitting a success in disability company last time to Moll Davis outside.
Scott said:”She had been quite unfortunate at Glorious Goodwood and when she’d won race her form would seem very powerful. All of the time is improving as we watched at Doncaster.
“I am really looking forward to see how she takes the step up in grade. So there’s little concern there ground that is Great will be OK for her.
“At the moment we don’t have many excellent horses in the yard and she is head and shoulders above everything else and when we’ve got a good one she’s it I’m expecting her to conduct a wonderful race.”
